Job Description :

The Finance Factors Family of Companies is looking for an experienced Human Resources Director who will be a thought partner with the Chairman and CEO, Finance Factors, Finance Insurance, and Finance Realty Presidents and Senior Leadership on organizational and people-related strategy and execution. The Human Resources Director will lead a team to develop a people strategy aligned with company objectives and values as well as to operate core HR areas including recruiting, organizational and leadership development, talent management, compensation, benefits, payroll, HRIS, strategic planning, employee retention, employee relations, and training & development.

The Human Resources Director is strategic, creative and aware of HR trends with the business acumen, people passion and people connection to deliver people and business results. The ideal candidate is a great HRM (Human Resources Management) Leader who can build a strong HR team that delivers empathetic and knowledgeable HR support to employees, who is an approachable communicator and listener who builds trust and relationships to effectively move the organization forward and aligned, who looks to continuously improve and optimize HR (and Company) operations and who will build a culture of accountability, ownership, performance and collaboration.

  • 7 years experience in HRM, designing and executing people programs and building teams.
  • 3 years of management experience hiring, coaching, mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in HRM or equivalent in experience; SHRM-SCP certification a plus
  • Experienced HR generalist with a broad understanding of all technical and functional components of HR including recruiting, organizational and leadership development, talent management, compensation, benefits, payroll, HRIS, strategic planning, employee retention, employee relations, and training & development.
  • Strategic, analytical, problem-solving thought partner who is creative and understands trends evidenced by successful development and execution of people programs.
  • Cares deeply about people with proven ability to recognize and develop talent, to create an engaging working environment and to promote health, wellness and safety in and outside of work.
  • HRM leader who has a proven track record of building a strong inspired HR team that delivers empathetic and knowledgeable HR support, who is a good communicator and business partner who can motivate, build relationships and stimulate confidence with people at all levels in the organization and who continuously optimizes HR (and Company) operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across multiple companies and stakeholders and is committed to affecting change to support the Vision and Values of the businesses.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with integrity and build trust through values and consistent action.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand the business and partner with leaders to drive sustainable results.
  • Proven track record of positively representing an organization within the community.
  • Extensive knowledge and application of federal and state laws on employment, discrimination, benefits and OSHA.



  • Develop an HR strategic plan and roadmap by utilizing people and company knowledge, analytical and problem-solving skills, business acumen, and industry trends.
  • Lead and execute a total reward (compensation and benefits) strategy that is market competitive and cost effective.
  • Develop and implement people-first, scalable HR policies, processes, and systems that will support the current and future business.
  • Create an environment where people and technology thrive together; identify the people, process, and technology (e.g. HRIS systems, payroll systems, sales and marketing software, etc.) to optimize work flows, cultivate talent, remove obstacles, deliver business results and support company progress.
  • Enhance employee experience from onboarding to employee and leadership development, succession planning, recruiting, performance/compensation management, engagement and health/wellness/security.
  • Provide day-to-day tactical and strategic support to help the business and our leaders achieve each the organization’s goals.
  • Manage the budget and other financial measures of the HR department to meet our financial goals.


  • Lead and grow Human Resources team to deliver empathetic and knowledgeable HR support.
  • Frequently communicate, listen and build relationships with people at all levels to proactively problem solve, create feedback cycles and collaboratively identify sustainable solutions.
  • Create a results-driven organization; holds self, team and organization accountable to achieve results of the strategic plan(s).
  • Lead and facilitate change.
  • Always operate with integrity and builds trust through values and consistent action.
  • Continuously connect with the HRM community and the broader community and contribute where relevant or where passions lie; Positively and professionally represent the organization.


  • Ensure HR compliance with Local, State, and Federal laws and regulation, including State of Hawaii Finance, Insurance and Real Estate laws by implementing the proper operational controls and administrative and reporting procedures.
  • Manage affirmative action plan and serve as the Company’s EEO Officer and Safety Officer.
  • Manage employee relations cases inclusive of sexual harassment, discrimination and all other types of complaints.
  • Manage policies and programs for effective management of people resources and regulatory compliance. Included, but not limited to programs for employee relations, complaint resolution, employee communication, safety and health.


  • Can handle a fair workload, meet deadlines and commitments, and hold self/team accountable.
  • Demonstrate an ability to work independently.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Is a part of the disaster planning team.
  • Perform all other tasks, as assigned.


Work is performed at a desk in an office setting. Occasional travel required. Primarily works in the office.
