Job Description :

Position Summary

Oversee the organization’s technology infrastructure and information systems tools. Develop short-and-long term technology objectives to provide efficient and cost-effective technology tools. Lead, manage, direct and coordinate the planning, production and activities of the information systems department.

Duties and Responsibilities

Oversee and manage all phases of technology systems to ensure that in‐house systems, programming, networking, installations, and operations support the organization’s goals and objectives

Work with Executive Leadership setting the short and long-term technology objectives to promote growth and enhance member services while providing the leadership necessary to achieve growth and other goals and objectives of the organization.

Evaluate and recommend/design new systems, applications, networks, or other technology tools that support growth, enhance services to members and provide efficient processes for team members.

Assist in analysis in major purchasing decisions for capital equipment or other capital asset expenditures.

Analyze contracts for additional saving possibilities.

Help prepare, implement, and supervise the budget for the department that is consistent with the overall strategic plan and budget of the organization.

Vice President Information Technology

Identify the strategic objectives and determine specific information requirements for the management of information services within all departments of the organization.

Keep abreast of changing trends in technology to include hardware, networks and network tools, software, and systems.

Investigate and negotiate cost-effective contracts for the purchase of new systems, hardware, software or peripherals. Investigate cost-effective contracts for service warranties, maintenance programs or IT consultants to support the technology infrastructure.

Help determine when it is cost-effective to outsource technology services. Research industry experts in outsourced computer and core processing services and negotiate cost-effective contracts with appropriate vendors.

Develop, update, monitor and continuously ensure compliance with the disaster recovery plans, computer security and loss prevention plans, antivirus and firewall protections. Manage, test and train on Cyber Security compliance and threats.

Direct the upgrade and maintenance of all computer hardware, software, system tools and peripherals such as printers, scanners and other external devices.

Responsible for overseeing all 3rd party integrations and/or system connections to support the organizational operations.

Assist in hiring, managing and directing the IT team.

Develop, apply and evaluate policies and procedures for the department and perform periodic assessments.

Ensure all operational manuals and documentation are accurate and up to date.

Ensure processes comply with State and Federal rules and regulations.

Hold periodic team meetings to coach and direct team in operational activities. Identify area for improvement, changes in procedures, new developments, or changes in services and products. Keep team up to date on trends and general information.

Vice President Information Technology

Direct the department’s team activities including job assignment, training and performance evaluation.

Responsible for assigned technical aspects of conversions, file expansions and interfaces.

Review vendor contracts for compliance. Function as the contract administrator for all outsourced technology services.

Perform all activities listed in Information Systems Specialists Level 1 and Level 2 job descriptions as needed.

Serve as the liaison with regulatory agency examiners and auditors.

Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
