Technical Writer (Hybrid Remote)

Dynaxys, LLC provides innovative and cost-effective technology solutions and business services to government, non-profit, and commercial customers. We are seeking a Technical Writer to join our Information Technology team. This position is an excellent opportunity for professional growth in a cooperative and collaborative environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Author online help using RoboHelp.
  • Write, edit, and proofread text for user manuals, training manuals, internal and end-user documentation, proposals.
  • Perform research necessary to define and write a set of documents, making decisions about scope, content, purpose and audience.
  • Make use of functional specifications, plus interviews with software engineers and other internal sources, to write documents.
  • Translate business specifications into user documentation.
  • Work closely with software developers and users to translate technical and functional information for appropriate audiences.
  • Offer process improvement suggestions and assist with designing and implementing solutions as needed
  • Communicate effectively with other staff to improve processes, solve problems and resolve conflicts.
  • Prepare and/or maintain presentations materials and other documents requested.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Advanced technical proficiency and practical knowledge of Adobe RoboHelp functions and features.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word (forms, templates, tables of contents, styles, tables).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience in developing technical documentation and education materials.
  • Excellent written communication skills, demonstrated by correct use of grammar, syntax, punctuation and the correct organization of paragraphs, chapters, etc.
  • Understanding of practices and procedures for software documentation.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Organizational and administrative skills.

Education and Work Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience with Adobe RoboHelp Versions 11 and 2019 Classic.
  • Advanced Microsoft Word skills.
  • Experience communicating with programmers and other technical staff.
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Writing or equivalent practical experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $82,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
