Job Description :

Reports to: Tax Partner

Small and busy accounting firm seeks an experienced tax-accountant.

PT 20-25 hours per week or FT with flexible schedule. Applicants must be willing to work extra hours and Saturdays during the tax season, as needed.

Minimum of 3 years experience with Intuit ProSeries and/or Lacerte Tax-Software and Quick Books. Bonus for expereince in the AccountingWorld platform.

Preferred candidate has knowledge of reporting international income, foreign tax credits and FBAR.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Trial Balance work
• Prepare accurate Federal, State and Local tax returns for Individual (1040), Partnership and Corporate Clients (1065, 1120 and 1120 S).
• Prepare and post year end adjusting journal entries to the books.
• Handle routine client questions and work with clients to obtain necessary information for year end and tax return completion.
• Research Federal, State and Local taxation issues.
• Capable to answer clients on tax related questions
• Ability to work independently, efficiently and productively in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $25.00 – $45.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Pay may depend on skills and/or qualifications
