  • For functional enhancements to claims processing, financial processing, and other subsystems, work with Gainwell business analysts and clients to design, develop, and test complex software enhancements – primarily server-side batch processes.
  • Serve as a technical consultant on enhancement projects — assist business and project leaders in determining solution options – from modifying existing apps to designing new application features and services.

What we’re looking for

  • A skilled problem solver who is effective across programming languages and environments as needed. We support a variety of technologies that span our 30+ years of service to VT client: C and COBOL batch code, Python scripting for extracts and reporting, node.js for services integration, Java/Javascript web front-end, PowerBuilder, SQL, and others.
  • Platforms and operating systems include MS Azure and private data center hosting, Unix and Windows, IBM DB2 and MongoDB.
  • A demonstrated team player with the written and oral communication skills to be effective across application developers, clients and leadership.
  • Experience with insurance and/or healthcare data and solutions is a plus. A strong desire to learn on-the-job about the inner workings of Medicaid claims and financial processing is necessary.
