Epec Engineered Technologies engineers, designs, manufactures, and assembles custom Battery Packs, User Interfaces, RF Filters, Cable Assemblies, Printed Circuit Boards, Flexible Heaters, and EC Fans/Motors.

Position Summary:

The Quality Systems Manager is responsible for assessing, integrating, and managing Quality Systems elements for Epec’s Design and Manufacturing facilities world-wide.

  • Monitors quality improvement processes, including:
  • Corrective Action Requests; Quality Management System Certifications; Internal Audit Program, 8D structured problem-solving.
  • Communicate quality information to customers, and suppliers, and all levels of the Epec workforce.
  • In conjunction with management, establish and communicate quality goals. Help develop measurement tools to assess Epec’s progress toward goals.
  • Monitors document control and records for the quality management system.
  • Lead problem-solving teams using structured problem-solving methods like 8D and A3.

Serve as Management Representative for and ensure that the QMS is compliant to ISO-9001, AS9100, ISO13485, or other quality management system standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in process controls for incoming inspection activities, Return Material Authorization (RMA), Material Review Board (MRB) and quality areas.
  • Perform root cause analysis, analyze quality data to identify trends on Epec products and processes.
  • Lead process improvement teams in manufacturing through PFMEAs, control plans, etc…
  • Develop and lead the Five S program to improve productivity, quality, and safety in the workplace.
  • Implement lean principles and methods to maximize customer value while minimizing waste.
  • Provide lead quality process improvement at supplier facilities.
  • Apply and train on quality tool (e.g. Pareto Diagrams, 8D, brainstorming, Six Sigma techniques, or A3) as needed.
  • Ability to travel as required for the position and lift-up to 25 pounds.
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned


  • Provides direction and proper motivation to staff to ensure the daily workload is completed in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
  • Maintains a positive presence on the floor throughout the shift.
  • Supervises all Product Quality functions world-wide.
  • Provides new hire and follow – up training for all employees.
  • Performs job evaluations and communicates results to employees.
  • Provides direction and proper motivation to leads and line employees to ensure the daily workload is completed in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Maintains a positive presence on the floor throughout the shift.

Compensation Summary:

Salary: $60K-75K Based on Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics or other related discipline.
  • Quality Assurance certification is desired, such as CQE, SSBB, or CMQ/OE.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
