Job Description :

Job Summary

The Quality Manager works within general methods and procedures and exercises considerable independent judgment to adapt and apply the guidelines to specific situations. The work requires knowledge of the policies, procedures, and regulations of quality control work, and supervisory techniques, personnel policies, and procedures.

Position Duties

  • Manage all aspects of the Production Division’s Quality Control, Warranty Administration, Customer Satisfaction and Continuous Improvement Processes
  • Administer FIQC (Final Inspection Quality Control) process on all Jet Boats
  • Oversee new boat delivery process
  • Ensure/Trend initial customer satisfaction via TGW tracking and follow-up.
  • Maintain/Update Hinckley Quality Standard
  • Develop/Maintain In-Process Inspection Plans (IPQC)
  • Develop/Maintain Work Instructions as required
  • Lead Corrective Action Process, Schedule mtgs, maintain CCR Matrix and assign follow-up with Engineering, Quality or Production
    • Track quality and warranty reporting and implement quality system changes to prevent re-occurrence as required.
    • Issue Field Service Bulletins as required
    • Recommend product design/component changes as required

Experience with boat building production process and/or field operation.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an applied science or engineering field
  • Demonstrated experience working with contract manufacturers, suppliers, or distributors.
  • Demonstrated exceptional written and oral communication skills.

Good Leadership Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
