Right now, we are looking for qualified individuals to work at our Creekside Clinic in our Adult Outpatient Behavioral Health Department.
We have openings for Adult Mental Health Clinicians, as well as Youth and Dual Diagnosis Clinicians and are interviewing immediately.

SUMMARY: _* The Counselor II provides therapeutic services to adults, children, adolescents and families as assigned. Duties may vary per location/department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (may vary per position):
- Provide therapeutic services to children at school(s), including individual, groups, and families
- Assessments/evaluations and intake packets
- Treatment planning
- Diagnosis of mental health disorders
- Consultation/referral/information/education and community outreach
- Member of Agency’s Crisis Team, including after-hours as needed, which may include Civil Commitment Investigators Certification (as per department/position)
- Case management/skills training
- Clinical record keeping and report writing; track billable services
- Attend/participate in Agency staff meetings
- Liaison with other human service organizations
- Facilitate in conjunction to client services to include health center staff, school (staff and administration) Juvenile court (POS) CASA (as per department/position)
- Crisis intervention: respond, support, (individual or group)
- Data gathering, collection, and organization for current contract (as per department/location)
- Other duties may be assigned as needed per location/department
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position supervises no others and is directly supervised by the designated Clinical Supervisor. All programs/staff are responsible to the Executive Director.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Social Work or related field from an accredited college required. CADC I required or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire Combination of education/experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties outlined for this position may be considered.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required: Must have knowledge of age-related development/human behavior, mental illness and chemical dependency in children, adolescents, adults, elderly and families. Must have skills in psycho diagnosis/treating related issues; as well as skills working with sexual abuse victims, and their families preferred. Also must have skills/abilities to interact as a member of an interdisciplinary team and complete required documentation. Public relations skills.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret common and complex documents, technical journals, and legal documents. Ability to respond effectively to common and/or sensitive inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or Boards of Directors.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define and solve practical problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions; able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Must be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to understand personal boundaries and how this impacts treatment.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Candidates must be legally employable by a U.S. business
- Civil Commitment Investigator Certification (if needed)
- CADC I or obtainable in first year of hire
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in a medical/office environment. Work with and operates phones, computers, fax machines, copiers, and other office equipment.
**Salary Range is a “step progression” system – Typically, wage for new hires, based on education/skills/experience, is set using the start of the range to mid-range.
