Job Description :

JOB SUMMARY:

Kennel Technician’s role within the clinic is to maintain the general upkeep of the domestic animals in their care, to provide individual attention so they are healthy and happy and to maintain the cleanliness of the clinic.

Responsibilities and Duties:

– Keeping cages clean and sanitized

– Walking, feeding and picking up after animals

– Bathing dogs

– Ability to administer medications as prescribed

– Ability to make detailed notes about the animals in their care and ability to inform medical professionals if there is anything abnormal with the animal’s condition

– Generalized and deep cleaning and laundry

Qualifications and Skills:

– Must be available to work weekends and holidays.

– Previous experience preferred but not required.

– Be able to perform physical duties such as lifting and bending.

– Be able to perform janitorial duties.

– Have a calm and steady hand when working with animals.

-Willingness to be trained and learn new abilities on a daily basis.
