Job Description :

This position will be focused on addressing a variety of simple technical issues, as communicated by our clients via email, tickets or calls. This is a tier 1 Systems Administrator position that will include training in IT Support and customer service. A successful candidate will bring basic technical knowledge and a willingness to train on workflow in real-world technical support department. This can include troubleshooting any of the following, Windows desktops, printer setups, installation of applications, monitoring of backups, monitoring of anti-virus console, simple database work and more.

The intent of this position is to train someone in the skills required to be a successful systems administrator, and/or Tier 2/3 support. The most valuable asset to the candidate is understanding customer service. While a majority of the work will be from our office, connecting to client machines remotely, some of the tasks will involve travel (local-Baton Rouge) to the client site.

Needed skills:

· A basic understanding of technology, specifically the Windows operating system.

· A willingness to learn how support works in real world settings.

· A willingness to learn more advanced technical facets of this role, like setting up ODBC objects and databases, or adding an exception to a customer firewall.

· A customer service mindset.

· Engaged in developing your technical skillset and knowledgebase.

Helpful skills & knowledge:

· O365 Suite/Email

· A basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and related technologies.

· Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory

· Permissions models (Folders, users, files, access, etc)

· VOIP Phones


$30k-$40k, annually, depending on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30,000.00 – $40,000.00 per year
