Position description
The Informatics Clinical Resource works within the scope of a project to deliver informatics solutions that support the practice from planning through full adoption. The Informatics Clinical Resource works on design and use of informatics solutions that support the vision and mission of Mayo Clinic. They serve as a bridge between all clinical and operational departments linking clinical practice, processes, technology and information to enhance patient care across all Mayo locations. Coordinates the change management process, including revising workflows and standardizing policies to successfully implement automated systems.

The Informatics Clinical Specialist (ICS) provides leadership, consultation, and direction for information technology that impacts clinical information management from planning through evaluation. The ICS is an expert in the design and use of informatics solutions that support the vision and mission of Mayo Clinic. The ICS services as a bridge between clinical departments and other institutional groups, linking clinical practice, technology, and information management to enhance patient care.

Clinical Resource
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare-related field.

Clinical Specialist
Master’s degree in healthcare-related field, or a Bachelor’s degree in healthcare related-field with a Master’s degree. Minimum of three years clinical experience in healthcare required.

Additional qualifications
Clinical Resource/ Clinical Specialist:
Minimum of three years clinical experience in healthcare preferred. Ability to develop effective working relationships throughout the organization. Demonstrated computer literacy with strong knowledge of software applications. Experience in training or teaching others. Strong project leadership, organizational and planning skills. Ability to communicate effectively (written and oral).

Internal applicants must submit last three appraisals.

License or certification
Current RN licensure in applicable state.

Compensation Detail
$72,945 – $109,449 / year

Hours / Pay period

Schedule details
M-F, 8am-5pm

Weekend schedule
Occasional weekends may be required to support go-lives and upgrades.
