Job Description :

Job Summary:

The Human Resources Recruiting Assistant will report directly to the Human Resources Manager. This position is responsible for (including but not limited to) providing support to the Human Resource team in areas including recruiting, applicant tracking, applicant processing, onboarding, and HR administration.

We seek someone who possesses excellent communication skills, has an outgoing nature, can multitask, and boasts high ethical standards. The Recruiting Assistant provides administrative support to the HR department to meet recruiting and organizational goals while collaborating with hiring Managers to proactively identify hiring needs.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist with full cycle recruiting (including but not limited to) screening candidates for positions, reviewing resumes, performing phone screens, coordinating candidate interviews with department managers, and assist in preparing job offers.
  • Coordinate prescreening (including but not limited to) background checks, MVRs, and drug screens.
  • Works with the HR team and other departments in the administration and analysis of reports, metrics, systems.
  • Assists in creating and maintains employee files, data entry of employee information into HRIS and audits files to ensure all correct documents are signed and received.
  • Assists with new hire orientations, coordinates first day logistics with managers, and communicates expectations to new hire.
  • Assists in verifying and maintaining completion of all post orientation documents including I-9 documentation.
  • Assists with special projects and all other duties assigned by Human Resources Manager.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to maintain professionalism and a high degree of confidentiality.
  • The ability to communicate and work at an elevated level in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to source applicants from multiple platforms (social media, radio, hiring events).
  • Understanding of HR best practices and current Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation to assist with compliance.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to be able to effectively communicate with other employees, managers, and all other relevant third parties involved with the jobs This includes (but may not be limited to) typing, speaking, reading, writing, and hearing.

Education and Experience:

Basic:

  • Associates degree, certification or equivalent related work or military experience, or a combination of these.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Recruiting Support role, preferably in an Oil and Gas environment.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (including strong Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point skills).
  • Must pass a drug screen, MVR check, and background check pursuant to local, state, and federal rules.

Preferred:

  • 3-5 years recruiting experience in oil and gas preffered.
  • Experience with Applicant tracking software is preferred.
  • Experience with HR Information Systems.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job (but are not limited to). The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, or crouch for extended periods of time, unassisted. Manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination sufficient to operate office machinery are required. This job also requires full range of body motion to include handling and lifting. The incumbent must repeatedly lift and/or move up to 30 (THIRTY) pounds unassisted. Visual acuity, hearing, speaking, reading, and writing must be adequate to perform all required tasks in a safe manner.

Work Environment:

The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Work is usually done indoors and sometimes (rarely) at a client facility or job site. The incumbent may be expected to travel to other work sites with prior notice.
