Job Summary

DJ&A is seeking a NEPA Specialist/Technical Writer with at least 3 years or more of experience as outlined in the primary duties and responsibilities below.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Employee would work as part of a dynamic NEPA documentation team completing analysis on projects across the U.S. related to land management, policy, and ecological restoration.

Required Qualifications:

• Natural resource or environmental policy degree (Bachelors and/or Masters)
• Independent NEPA documentation and analysis experience and/or specialist reporting
• Natural resource or socioeconomic data management and analysis experience
• Proficient technical writing skills
• Experience in reviewing, understanding and implementing policy, statute, and handbook direction for natural resource areas

Preferred Qualifications:

• Deputy project manager experience
• Experience specifically for lands and rights-of-way, minerals, recreation, range/vegetation, fire and fuels NEPA analysis, or specialist report writing.
• 508 Compliance experience
• Copy or technical editing experience
• Natural resource field experience including data collection and biological/botanical surveys

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working at a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
• Must be able to travel to various (and sometimes remote) project sites
• Must be able to access and navigate job sites and construction areas
