Job Summary:
The primary role of a General Manager is to supervise all activities of the warehouse, which involves overseeing team performance, ensuring safe and efficient operations, and cultivating a strong company culture. As the most senior individual in the warehouse day-to-day operations, you will be expected to lead by example and create organization and structure, even when it may not initially exist. A successful General Manager will help drive the overall growth of Pitted Logistics and provide a truly exceptional customer experience—two of the main goals of our organization.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary
goal, by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees and establishing,
monitoring, and managing operation goals
Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage
requirements, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping
Train and manage the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short-
and long-term performance goals
Oversee daily operations, while controlling and managing production schedules and shipping
demands
Review and prepare workflow, manning and space requirements, equipment layout, and action
plans while ensuring productivity, quality, and customer service standards are met
Maintain a safe, healthy, and enjoyable work environment by establishing, following, and
enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
Supervise daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory control, space
management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service
Schedule and oversee warehouse teams to meet the demands of the fulfillment center, and
manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime
Oversee vendor relationships to ensure competitive pricing on supplies and to maintain
required stock levels on consumable materials
Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance as needed
Oversee and manage carriers utilized to transport products to customers, communicating with
drivers and air partners to ensure efficient pickup and delivery of shipments to and from the
warehouse
Meet regularly with warehouse leads to review, analyze, and develop actionable plans for
productivity
Meet regularly with CEO to review warehouse objectives and performance metrics, growth
opportunities, areas of weakness and improvement, and develop actionable plans for these
items
Required Skills/Abilities:
Advanced degree in engineering or logistics
5+ years’ experience in a warehouse manager role managing hourly employees
Excellent knowledge of warehouse procedure and policy
Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
Ability to work with all levels of company staff
Comfortable delivering frequent direct written and oral feedback
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Proficiency with 3PL Central for warehouse management
Bilingual (English, Spanish)

Pay: $90,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
