Job Description :

Our client is a well-known family owned and operated food manufacturing facility. They are looking for their next great production manager due to a long term retirement. This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity.

The production manager is responsible for all operations within our facility while fostering a positive work atmosphere among team members.

Job duties:

• Actively oversee and take part in manufacturing, quality control, ordering, maintenance, food safety, and hiring/firing of employees
• Oversee employee scheduling, training, and productivity
• Oversee food safety and all supporting documentation as required by the FDA
• Must be PCQI certified or willing to gain certification
• Conduct inventory counts
• Gain understanding of and support e-commerce/shipping
• Operate a forklift as needed
• Take on and address challenges as required to ensure production efficiency

Minimum Requirements:

• Available for shift hours: Monday – Friday (shift times vary from 5a/7a to 3p/5p) with seasonal weekends a possibility
• Able to guide and manage a production crew of 2 to 8 team members
• Able to lift 50 lbs
• Able to stand, lift and bend throughout shift
• Able to adhere to and hold others accountable to good manufacturing practices as mandated by FDA
• Strong in communication, reading, writing and math skills
• At least 1 year in a supervisory role

Preferred Attributes:

• Ability to drive or learn to drive a delivery truck (stick shift)
• Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement concepts

Pay: $35,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
