The Opportunity
The Digital Content Developer is a Technical Lead for QVC Digital Content Development and an important point-of-contact and subject-matter expert for digital content platforms. Includes QVC.com, eMarketing, iOS and Android phone and tablet apps along with emerging digital platforms.

What You Do
-
Works with business and creative partners to bring promotions and events to life across our website, mobile apps, e-marketing campaigns, and OTT platforms through standardized processes.

Responsible for scheduling, migrating, and maintaining content across our digital platforms

Manages the cadence of hourly offer updates on customer-facing digital platforms when required.

Creates targeted audience A/B tests, and maintains interim functionality utilizing third party tool, Monetate. Maintains temporary Monetate campaigns until permanent solutions are coded and prepared for future product releases.

In partnership with cross-functional teams including UX and IT, enforces platform standards and processes. Supports day-to-day compliance with key performance metrics including page load and weight, URL best practices and redirects

This position has 24-hr. on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis. Responds to service calls immediately and works alone or with IT partners to find a solution in real time. Follows up with Sr. leadership to explain issues and their resolutions.

Maintains special projects that may fall outside of day-to-day functionality

Represents Content Development during new product deployments and functionality releases for QVC.com and apps, smoke-testing existing and new functionality to confirm that everything is working as intended.

Responsible for executing lower environment testing in parallel with UAT and QSO teams leading up to the launch of new products.

Provides technical expertise when working with Marketing and eCommerce teams in developing site and app content campaigns, A/B testing, new features implementation, and platform roll-out.

Identifies root cause issues and leverages expertise to identify and prioritize high-value platform enhancements.

Finds and communicates opportunities for tool enhancements that allow the team to be more efficient.

Authors detailed user documentation that serves as a how-to document for team members

Supports digital content team members with training, troubleshooting, and building content in some cases.
What You Bring
-
Bachelor’s Degree or appropriate experience and/or certification in Computer Science, Web Development, or related fields
-
3 or more years’ experience in maintaining web content, e-Marketing campaigns, and native app content, preferably on an eCommerce platform.

Working knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager and Monetate/Adobe Target is a plus

Expertise utilizing HTML5, CSS3, and Content Management Systems

Ability to hand author HTML5 and CSS3 to W3C standards

Working Knowledge of Javascript, JQuery, JSON, XML, and Bootstrap

Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with ever-changing priorities.

Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to work well within a team, ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Keen eye for attention to detail

Ability and confidence to make oral and written presentations.

Must possess leadership skills. Must be a good motivator.
