  • Originates new loan volume in consumer, mortgage and credit card portfolio. With an emphasis on soliciting new business, maintains professional, productive outside working relationships, and promotes the organizations products and services. Works as a community ambassador building relationships to help build the lending portfolio.


  • Increase membership and loan production by leveraging referral relationships and creating brand awareness in the community.
  • Responsible for utilizing sales leads to research lending and cross sell opportunities and then make outbound calls to qualified individuals in an effort to solidify additional business.
  • Engages existing and potential members to communicate information concerning current loans, as well as determine future financing needs, and application support through the lending process.
  • Ability to positively represent navigator through presentation of products and services to large audiences throughout our footprint.
  • Prepares marketing materials and may coordinate meetings, conferences and presentations. Prepare requested specialized reports or documents. Lead management and marketing sales tracking and development.
  • Demand of myself, and others, the highest levels of integrity, leadership, accountability and teamwork.
  • Any other duties as assigned by manager.


  • 2 years of sales or business development experience.
  • Experienced and proficient with Microsoft Office products.
  • Must have reliable transportation, unexpired driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance.


  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • College Degree preferred.


  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are needed.
  • Ability to manage time and understand complex problems and to collaborate on and explore alternative solutions with management.
  • Reliable self-starter that can work independently or as part of a team.
  • Position is a sales role, it will require a positive, competitive personality that will need to adapt to different communication styles and be ready to deliver a tailored approach.
  • Ability to negotiate and build professional relationships.
  • Diplomacy is required when acting as a representative of the credit union.
  • A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter expert in this position.
  • Must be able to conduct in-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, and outside vendors of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature.
  • Ability to make formal presentations both internally and externally.



  • Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 5 lbs. Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must by capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.


  • Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise.


  • Must be able to perform job functions with supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations with extreme accuracy. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines/requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on confidential matters.
